Vintage Goblets on Reception Table

Southern Vintage Table Events – A Festive December Wedding

With all the holiday trimmings, Meleah and Devan’s vintage boho wedding was totally glam – big boho centerpieces, hanging wreaths, pine colored runners, and lots and lots of candles. And, the first kiss under the mistletoe? What a memorable moment captured by Assorted Poppies Photography!

The wedding reception tables included place settings with our vintage stoneware plates, colored goblets, and stainless flatware. The table decor, provided by the clients, brilliantly merged the boho and holiday themes.

We join these two cuties in wishing you a beautiful life together! Wendy and Michael, thank you for your kind words! Working with your family was totally delightful!

Vintage Table is very professional, and very friendly to work with. I was very impressed with how they pack their dishes, glass plates and goblets. We chose to pick up and drop off from the store, and everything was packed securely in crates with wheels, so convenient. We were given detailed instructions on how to care for the items we rented. Everything we rented was absolutely beautiful! Thank you Vintage Table for being a part of our daughters special day and for making it possible for her to have the wedding of her dreams! Your tableware is stunning to say the least and your services are over the top! I plan to recommend Vintage Table to everyone I know doing an event!

Southern Vintage Table – A Dreamy Blue Wedding

The classic combination of blue and white was featured in Claire and Ethan’s gorgeous wedding at the historic Merrimon Wynne venue in downtown Raleigh. There’s so much to love about their wedding day – the splendid weather, the stunning ceremony setup, the lush tablescape on the reception tables, and, of course, the blissful couple. These artful photos, courtesy of @mackensiemkern show us how dreamy it all was!

For their wedding, Southern Vintage Table provided the large floral vessels that first greeted guests at ceremony side and then were donned in front of the bride and groom’s seats. Filled with exquisite florals from Hathaway Floral Designs, they were meant to be seen wherever the guests were.

Since this was a plated reception, our vintage blue and white plates were presented to guests with their delicious meal prepared by AC Events. As seen below, those vintage salad plates offer a perfect hint of blue and white at each place setting.

Bravo, Claire and Ethan! This memory-filled day was the perfect beginning to your life together. May your lives be filled with joy, love, and lots of adventures!

Vintage Teacups on Shelves

News – More Space in our New Space!

It’s the end of week 3 at our new location at Boone Center and floor space is finally opening up! With a plan in place, our vintage plates are getting sorted and stacked on the shelves. Teacups have been matched with their saucers, extra saucers packed in bins, and the last of the goblets unpacked.

In the second main room, the wall of shelving is almost complete, extra crates placed on top, and suitcases displayed. Yep, the floor is clearing up here, too!

Our goals this week include unpacking the rest of containers and moving the tables and chairs into the main room. We also need to clear out the foyer so the floors can be redone. Fingers crossed because we have booked over 10 events May!

News – Shelves are Filling Up!

It’s now the end of week 2 at our new space at Boone Square. Aisles are opening up, boxes and paper recycled, and plastic crates given away. Our focus has turned to the vintage plate collections. Making decisions regarding a natural flow has been a challenge and we have already changed the design plan several times. Fingers crossed that we have enough shelves for our extensive inventory!

With Priscilla’s help, the middle room has started to take shape. Together we rearranged the shelves under the countertop, moved the tables from the wall to the center, and cleared a space for a set of shelves to be installed. When they are up, our vintage decor room can finally be organized.

Looking through the hallway window, we are feeling quite accomplished. The new Southern Vintage Table studio is shaping up! Can’t wait to see through this window next week when all of those crates are gone and replaced with these two tables.

News – Out and In

Yep, we are out of our previous studio space at the Colonial Business Center and now in our new digs at Suite 14 in the Boone Square. The space is larger, freshly painted, and now filled with boxes and crates packed with our vintage goblets, plates, linens, flatware, and decor.

Our first task was to fill the glassware shelves. After stringing lights, hunting for the crates that contained the goblets, and placing them on the shelves, the vintage glassware collection began to emerge. Here’s our progress after the last two days.

Next, we’ll decide where the vintage plate collections will land, find the crates, and unpack them. Fingers crossed we have enough shelves for the hundreds of dinner, salad, and dessert dishes. We do plan to count them all when we are finished, a long overdue task.

Shout out to the positive, hardworking, supportive teamwork of Dustin, JJ, Mark, and Antonio of Wayforth for doing such an incredible job moving our delicate inventory. They were awesome along with dear friend, Priscilla. We couldn’t have done this without all of you!

Lastly, many thanks to Jay, Sam, and Dink for getting everything ready for us at Suite 14. We appreciate you, too!

The Captain is waiting patiently for her new home to be ready!

Vintage Blue and White Place Settings

Southern Vintage Events – A Vibrant Blue and White Wedding

Dana and Ryan’s wedding day was truly idyllic – beautiful Carolina blue skies, kind temperatures, and a picturesque private retreat, the Rigmor House. We distinctly remember driving up to the venue and thinking that the day was North Carolina perfect.

The ceremony took place outside amongst the lush green landscape and the reception was inside the house. Donned with dark blue linens, the table settings included our vintage blue and white dinner plates, salad plates, napkins, and multicolored, jewel-toned goblets. With the sunshine pouring in, the celebration space was alit with color and beauty. Courtesy of Three Region Photography, you’ll get a peek at these lovely tables.

Oftentimes detail items are requested, such as this easel with the seating chart and the silver trays for the appetizers. We love how they look!

One other note – our clients wanted to present their tables with the entire setting. Since it was a plated dinner, during the ceremony and appetizers, the caterer picked up the plates and plated the salad. When guests arrived for the meal, salads were ready to be enjoyed.

Bravo, Dana and Ryan! Your day was beautiful, colorful, and delightful. We loved being a part of your celebration and send wishes of love, joy, and adventure!

Styled Shoot – More of the Patriotic Shoot at The Old Cotton Gin

Hey there! We are back from our blogging break and also back to this uniquely styled shoot sponsored by ElopeNC. Several posts ago we shared a few of Wendy Jade Photography‘s photos taken in this cool, historic building in Warrenton, NC. You may want to skip back to see and read this post, A Quick See with More to Come.

Designer Meagan of Magnolia Collective created several different looks using our vintage blue & white, red & white, and floral plates. These were accompanied by our vintage goblets, silver-plate flatware, and assortment of colorful napkins with wooden napkin rings. Vintage decor also adorned the tables – books, teacups, wooden candleholders, and blue & white vases. Finally, you’ll also notice the small compotes filled with strawberries and berries – the perfect fresh touch to this colorful tablescape!

Check out ElopeNC’s blog post, “Vintage Patriotic Summer Elopement @The Old Cotton Gin.” Many of the vendors provide their insights and thoughts about being a part of this lovely shoot.

The Rental Process at SVT

News – The Vintage Rental Process – We Are Here for You!

You are planning a wedding, dinner party, birthday celebration, cocktail party, or baby shower and looking for something unique, fun, and eco-friendly. You kinda know what you want but need to see how it will actually look. This is where we come in!

We love sharing our inventory and ideas but, more importantly, we totally dig the part where we help YOU create YOUR vintage look. It might be elegant or boho, blue & white or white, amber goblets or clear – whatever it is, it will be the design you love. Ready to know more?

It all begins with an email, a completed form from the contact page, a phone call, or an inquiry through Wedding Wire or The Knot. From there, we gather information regarding the date, guest size, and venue to make sure we are available for you. If everything is open, we can continue through email or setup an appointment at the studio. Of course, we love to have visitors at the studio! Here’s what you can expect to see…

When you open the front door, you’ll walk into the first door to Southern Vintage Table’s studio. Immediately you will be amazed by an unbelievable display of colorful vintage goblets, clear goblets, and glass dishes. One wall is filled with vintage dinner plates – white stoneware, blue & white, red & white, and elegant pink florals. Sometimes overlooked are the rows of vintage pitchers and decanters on the top shelves. Our vintage flatware – silver-plate, stainless, and gold – are in bins, including serving pieces such as tongs, salad servers, cake servers, and punch bowl ladles.

Our vintage retro, stoneware, and gold & white dinner plate collection is on shelves in the next room. You’ll also find blue & white, white, and floral salad/dessert plates along with an amazing display of teapots, teacups, and tiered stands. In the second photo you can see the shelves filled with blue & white pots, vases, candleholders, ginger jars, and umbrella stands. So much to see!

Connecting to this room are shelves of vintage serving dishes, cake stands, milk glass vases as well as silver-plated teapots, sugar & creamers. We also have wood serving pieces such as bowls, trays, and cake stands.

The back room is stocked with, well, everything else – vintage candleholders, brass planters, suitcases, cameras, clocks, silver-plate pieces, linens, and so much more. This space is filled with inspiration!

After a quick tour of the rooms, we’ll set the stage for your tablescape by covering either the round or rectangular table with linen color of your choice. The magic then begins! You select the vintage plates, goblets, flatware, whatever, and begin designing the table. If interested, you can add the vintage decor such as candleholders, votives, and vasesl. We even have faux flowers to fill the vases so you can see how the complete table will look!

Once your vision materializes and you are nothing but thrilled, we’ll make note of the pieces you’ve selected and discuss any other details pertinent to the event. Through email, we’ll email a rental proposal and contract for your approval. When everything is just as you wish, you’ll send a signed contract and a nonrefundable deposit to hold the pieces for your date. We even have 3 ways to pay – check, PenPal, and Venmo.

Closer to the date, the rental order is reviewed and revised as needed, the balance submitted, and then your vintage party package can either be delivered or picked up.

That’s it! Let the celebration begin…

We had a great surprise in our email yesterday – the photo gallery from an Elope NC styled shoot that was only 2 days ago! Now that’s an amazing turnaround from Wendy Jade Photography!
