Love is the most important thing in the world but baseball is pretty good – Yogi Berra
It was a beautiful June day – perfect for the artistic teacher and outdoorsy soon-to-be physical therapist to begin to their lives together as a married couple. College sweethearts, Jessica and Stephen, pledged their love for each other at the Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church with friends and family in attendance, then we all skipped over to the Rickhouse to celebrate with this sweet couple.
This love-filled day was captured by Photography by Bellagala and we are so pleased to share their photos with you. As a friend of the family, we happily set the reception tables and arranged the vintage dessert stands for donuts, the couple’s favorite treat, before joining in the festivities.
Jessica and future sister-in-law, Melanie, designed these lovely, colorful tables. Notice the three vintage table designs – one with gold embellished plates and brown goblets, a second with blue & white plates and amber goblets, and the third with white stoneware and green goblets. With the beautiful floral centerpieces by Color Fields Farm and our brass candleholders topped with clear votives, the tables sparkled!
Congratulations, Jessica and Stephen! Here’s to many joyful, fun adventures ahead!
Special thanks goes out to the amazing team who helped set the tables at the Rickhouse – the Yayas, Jay, Betty, Carolyn, Priscilla, and Sarah. Ya’ll are supastars!
“Welcome to Jessica’s bridal luncheon! We are delighted to have each of you here to celebrate with us today! Tomorrow we will gather at TAPC to celebrate the love of Jessica & Stephen, but today, TODAY, during this luncheon, we celebrate the special relationships between the important women in our lives – grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters, nieces, great nieces, and of course girlfriends. These relationships add joy, richness, laughter, and fun to our lives, and we so fortunate to have this time and place to celebrate.”
With this beautiful, heartfelt opening from Mary, Jessica’s soon-to-be mother-in-law, the luncheon was ready to enjoy. After months of planning, the Yayas were so excited to be a part of this tradition, honoring the bride-to-be on the eve of her wedding.
The design included an array of Southern Vintage Table’s vintage dishes and pieces. The vintage blue and white china accented with fresh gorgeous flowers from Fernrock Farm created the perfect ambience for this wonderful affair! Presented on our vintage serving pieces, Durham Catering’s‘ delicious luncheon treats and Jami’s yummy lime tarts looked so delish. And, we are thrilled that Miguel of September Photos Photography captured all of this beauty!

In closing, Mary offered this prayer to commemorate this charming event.
“Dear God, Thank you for this day that you have made. We rejoice and are glad in it. Thank you for the love of Stephen and Jessica that has led us here today. Thank you for all the kinds of love that you have created. Thank you for the love of a husband and wife, a mother and daughter, a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, sister and sister, aunt and nieces, and of course, the love of friends. Thank you for bringing us here today to celebrate all kinds love. Be with us this day and everyday and may our joy and love here today be a reflection of your perfect love. AMEN“

A beautiful, sweet celebration for Jessica as she begins this chapter with Stephen by her side. May every day bring love!
Now for the fascinators (btw-a new word in our vocabulary!)
Upon our delivery the day before, Anita showed us her amazing creations. Each custom-made fascinator was beautifully crafted and more fabulous than the next. For most of them, she used headbands as the base and then embellished with feathers, tulle, ribbons, flowers, and even vintage family lapel pins. Of course, their guests loved seeing them all on display and then getting to choose their own!
Thanks so much, Anita and Bev, for inviting us to help with this lovely and happy affair! We are so intrigued by these cheery headdresses, we may try our hand at fashioning one or two for ourselves!
PS – Photos were shared by guests to an iCloud album and Bev shared them with us. What an ingenious way to capture an event from everyone’s perspective!
Yay! We are so pleased to share photos of Lindsey and Brad’s vintage reception tables, courtesy of Sean True Photography. One word that describes these gorgeous, colorful photos – MAGICAL! The glorious floral centerpieces, vintage colored goblets, the perfectly set tables, and twinkling lights created an wondrous backdrop for the newly wed couple and their guests as they celebrated this beautiful day.
Congratulations and thank you, Lindsey and Brad, for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. Wishing you the very best of everything!
Today we are super delighted to share photos of this dessert table, filled with treats, sweets, and Erica and Josh’s beautiful wedding cake! Â These photos, courtesy of Justyn Lord Photography, are terrific and give us an opportunity to see how lovely our vintage wares create such a charming display.
What a treat 🙂 to see our vintage dessert serving dishes filled with yummy desserts. Thank you, Erica and Josh, for letting us be a part of your wedding day!  Wishing you happy, sweet-filled days together!
We truly enjoy meeting our clients. and oftentimes, there’s an authentic, instant connection. When Susan and Lindsay came to the studio last fall to plan for Lindsay’s wedding reception this June, we just clicked! This immediate rapport helped make our planning meeting both enjoyable and productive.
Several months back, Susan and I met again to plan Lindsay’s bridal shower table settings – an elegant palette with soft, spring colors of teal, yellow, purple, and pink. Hosted at Susan’s home, the guests were treated to colorful vintage place settings and a delicious meal to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Lindsay and Brad.
Thank you, Susan, for sharing your photos with us. Your meticulously set tables are sheer perfection!  Looking forward to Lindsay and Brad’s wedding in a few weeks!
After a two-weddings’ weekend, this weekend’s events were a little-bit-of-this and a little-bit-of-that – a bridal shower, a wedding reception, and a tea party! As you might guess, it was busy, busy in the studio – washing the dishes from last weekend and then preparing for the three events and their pickups. Thankfully, Priscilla came over and helped get things organized and ready.
The stainless vintage flatware seen above was for Emma and Jonathan’s wedding reception. Don’t you love the variety and details? These went with our blue and white china, light blue goblets and a few milk glass accents. Looking forward to seeing these photos!
The second event was a dinner party/bridal shower. Susan chose our vintage elegant china dinner plates eclectically matched with salad plates, a mix of teal, amber, and pink goblets, and vintage silver-plate flatware. With an Italian feast on the menu, the guests are being treated to a grand party!
The third event is happening today – a mother-daughter tea party for almost 200 guests at the Mims House. With our vintage teapots, teacups, and tiered stands, this fundraiser affair is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The proceeds are going to help a group of talented dancers from the Holly Springs Ballet School participate in the Macy’s Christmas Parade. We hope they get closer to their goal after this weekend!
Sharing our vintage treasures is such a joy for us and we love seeing photos and hearing about all the details. Let us help you with your next party, dinner, reception, or gathering!
Beautifully captured by Rebekah Senter Photography, “An Earthy Yet Elegant Rustic Wedding at Rigmor House,” describes Jenn & Teague’s wedding day along with the preparations leading up to their nuptials. As you read along and view the photos, you’ll feel like you were there, enjoying the day alongside everyone. Don’t miss out on Jenn & Teague’s interview questions about their experience with the planning process.
Our part in their wedding was to provide tea accessories for the afternoon tea.  Here’s how Jenn  and Teague described their reception.
For the afternoon tea dishes and cutlery, we were very lucky to have Southern Vintage Table in the Chapel Hill area. Shelly, the owner, provided us with a gorgeous array of blue-and-white plates and porcelain tea sets, silver-plated cutlery, and other key serviceware items we needed for our afternoon tea reception. She even helped with dressing the tables and wow, the end result was more stunning than I imagined!”
Okay, we are beaming after reading this!
Pssst! Â When you have time, shoot over to our Press page for a listing of the magazines and blogs our wares have been featured on! Â We are thrilled with each and every one!
