Lauryl and Michael—future lawyers, present-day romantics—visited our studio to curate their dream spring 2026 wedding tablescape. Their vision? A graceful light blue theme brought to life with our soft floral vintage plates, silverplate flatware, and sky-blue goblets.
To add a touch of vintage glow, they selected assorted votives to encircle their centerpiece display. And yes, dessert will be served in true heirloom style—on our charming collection of vintage cake stands. A classic case of love, light, and lovely details!
Thank you, Lauryl and Michael, for spending time with us at the studio and thoughtfully crafting such a timeless and elegant design. We loved seeing your vision come to life and can’t wait to see your light blue dream unfold next spring. Wishing you joy in every step as you plan your big day—and your bright future together!
Last month, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Gabriella, a lovely bride-to-be who’s tying the knot next spring. She came with her wonderful planner, Rebecca of Events by Reb, and her sweet mom—three women with impeccable taste and a shared vision for a beautifully curated wedding day.
After a thoughtful tour of our vintage inventory, Gabriella was drawn to the timeless charm of our blue and white classic collection. The pairing of delicate vintage china with rich blue goblets and elegant gold flatware was an instant favorite. We can already picture the graceful tablescape they’re planning—vintage plates resting atop natural woven placemats and a centerpiece layered with stacked books, soft candlelight from peg votives in brass candleholders, and touches of lace from our vintage doilies.
To top it off, Gabriella also selected a beautiful mix of dessert and appetizer plates, along with vintage cake stands for her sweet table—because no celebration is complete without a stunning display of desserts!
It was a delightful visit filled with inspiration and laughter, and we are honored to be part of Gabriella’s wedding journey. We can’t wait to see her vision come to life next spring!
Today we have four great vintage designs from four clients! The first couple styled a wonderful take on the classic blue and white. Notice the layout – mostly blue dinner and mostly white salad in the center and then mostly white paired with a colorful floral salad on either side. Vintage blue, orange, and amber goblets and mixed napkin patterns enhance this colorful tablescape. Finally, their vintage table decor will include brass candleholders with peg votives, vintage books, and table numbers in vintage frames. Jenny and Andy’s spectacular wedding is set for this October at the Parlour at Mann’s Chapel.
Our next couple, Anna and Garrick, have another unique take on vintage. They have combined vintage retro green dinner plates with crisp white and gold china plates, a mix of gold and stainless flatware, and vintage brown and dusky blue goblets. Both love vintage and will be incorporating a bunch of cool decor items – a vintage sewing machine and a pair of scissors (Anna is a seamstress!), telephone, bird cages, black-framed mirror and window panes, brass candleholders, and brass vases. We look forward to their wedding next March in Madison, NC!
Here are Anna and Matt and their design demonstrates that vintage can be elegant, quiet, and beautiful. They have chosen vintage white stoneware, clear salad plates, and clear patterned goblets. The silverplated flatware completes this lovely tablescape. (Their venue, Lavendar Oaks, will be providing wooden chargers so we used our wooden plates to imagine how everything will look on a white tablecloth, just in case you wondered.) These two will be married next June!
Another colorful splash of vintage will be coming to Savannah and Andrew’s wedding next October at the Carriage House of Chapel Hill. Their vintage look includes a mix of brown patterned plates with large florals. Amber, pink, green, and purple goblets and mixed patterned napkins add more fabulousness to their reception tables. We love how much these two loved their final design!
Four couples with four vintage designs getting married at four venues – your vision, creativeness, and imaginativeness continue to inspire us!
The fall wedding season is here and our latest visitors have had fun visualizing their reception tables. Everyone loved the vintage colored goblets and you’ll see them in each of the following designs; however, each has their own unique combination. Here are 5 happy, smiling clients with their vintage tablescapes!
Let’s start with Amy and Nathan who will be getting married this month at the beautiful Carolina Grove. This fun couple set their table with a mix of floral china patterns and added a set of cool colored vintage goblets. With a mix of green napkins, their tables will dazzle their guests!
Edna, who will marry Douglas this month at The Cloth Mill, was looking to create a peaceful feeling for her tables. With help from her planner, Lorne of Carter Creations, the design emerged. The vintage plates are a mix of white stoneware and white/cream plates with gold. The vintage goblets will be a mix of dusky blue, light blue, and clear. Green napkins will enhance the peaceful feeling. This combination of blue and green is one of our favorites!
Lily visited the studio with her mother to create a romantic look for her wedding to Caden at The Cornealius Properties in Goldsboro next March. She chose vintage plates from our gold white/cream collection and then layered them with colorful salad plates. The array of vintage colored goblets are beautiful with the place settings. This romantic, sweet tablescape will be stunning!
Joined by her mother, Sydney wanted to design a fall-themed tablescape for her wedding to Kayden next month at the Barn of Valhalla. Vintage brown and white plates along with amber goblets are classic fall colors and mixed in are lovely vintage plates featuring green. This design will look stunning with brass candleholders with clear peg votives along with a vignette of petite brass vases on each table. We think this will be amazing!
Lastly, here’s Sydney. She’s selecting teacups and coordinating salad plates for her own birthday tea party. Isn’t that amazing! She gifted herself a tea party to celebrate with close friends on her 21st birthday. We heard it was totally fun!
Five clients and 5 different looks with vintage tableware. The process is always fun and we totally love seeing their smiles when their tablescape design is realized. But, we have more to share – next week we’ll have 4 more clients to showcase!
We had the extreme pleasure to help Kortney with a wedding shower she hosted for her sister-in-law, Autumn and beau, Elisha. To say that Kortney is a talented designer states the obvious and we’ve seen her marvelous design skills on another occasion – her own Baby Reveal Party held in 2020. She’s a natural!
This shower revolves around the color blue for a couple of reasons – to honor the adage “something blue” and blue is the color Elisha sees best. With vintage blue and white dishes, blue goblets, blue and white teacups, and two tiered stands the table looks spectacular. Kortney filled the vintage silver teapot and milk glass vases with stunning bouquets, and filled our blue and white heart dishes with her speciality sugar cubes. How adorable!
Congratulations, Autumn and Elisha! We truly enjoyed viewing the photos shared by Kortney – they beautifully portray your love and joyfulness!
There’s so much more to discover about this lovely gathering. Go to Kortney’s blog, Garden Brunch Wedding Party in which she shares both Autumn’s and her own perspective on the event, followed by more from the gallery of photos.
It happens every 3 years – The Gunderson + Spencer Family Reunion. The call went out to grandparents, sisters, brothers, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and more. Organizers Mary and Ralph hosted family members from ages 2 to 87, and they came from 7 states plus Malaysia, with a total of 37 adults and 6 children.
The weekend of family time kicked off at the White House on Washington in Mebane. Mary chose vintage blue and white china and light blue goblets for the tables along with grass chargers. She filled complementary blue and white vases with bright yellow florals and the delicious dinner meal was catered by Southern Harvest. It was a grand success!
Saturday was full of choices for the group. Swimming, golf, and sight-seeing were enjoyed with the evening spent at Mary and Ralph’s home. Following a cookout, the crowd was entertained by family band members with dancing and more time to reconnect!
Bravo, Gundersons and Stewarts! Many wonderful memories were created this weekend and we applaud the commitment your extended family has made to spending quality time together.

Today we travel to Union Valley Farm & Vineyard located in Whiteville, NC to delight in the heavenly wedding of Dallas and Eddie. Courtesy of Jenna Corley Photography, you will see that every detail down to the perfect row of waterfall-folded napkins was thoughtfully designed with the help of planner, Peyton J Events. Our vintage blue and white china, silver-plated flatware, and clear goblets look flawless and we can only imagine how their guests must have felt as they entered the room.
On a side note, when Dallas and Eddie visited us at the studio, they decided that they wanted the tablescape design to be more intentional than random. To help with the setting of the plates, we packed the crates two-by-two with the same pattern so the plate across the table would be the same.
Bravo, Dallas and Eddie! Your impeccable, fun wedding day will be fondly remembered by your family and friends. Best wishes for an amazing journey together!
Theirs was our first wedding of 2023 and, seeing Nicole and Mike’s photos, courtesy of Booth Creative, brings us such fond memories. These two, perfectly matched, celebrated their wedding day in grand fashion at the Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington.
Our vintage blue and white china was chosen by the couple to don their reception tables. Along with the blue napkins and stunning florals by Design Perfection, their final look was quietly majestic.
Congratulations, Nicole and Mike! Best wishes for a wondrous life together!
Two for one is always nice, right? Here’s what made our week – first, we provided rentals for a beautiful shot at Carolina Grove and worked with some of our favorite vendor friends in January; and second, the shoot was published this week in Wedding Chicks – “How to Incorporate Fine China Into Your Chic Microwedding”.
When Keys Events and Tierney Riggs Photography shared their design for this shoot at Carolina Grove, we knew instantly we wanted to be involved. Our vintage blue and white collection has grown over the last few years and we were excited that they wanted to include not only vintage place settings, but also decor pieces, including our two umbrella stands. With beautiful florals from The Foraged South, they certainly made a statement!
