Vintage Wedding Reception Place Settings

Southern Vintage Table Events – Alea and Devyn’s Charming Wedding

Pink and green – two complementary colors that are fabulous for a wedding celebration. Together they represent kindness, compassion, and love, which made them a wonderful choice for Alea and Devyn’s reception tables where friends and family gathered to honor the newlyweds.

On a recommendation from a friend, Alea came to the studio to consider options for her wedding reception tables. She had already bought disposable dinnerware but had second thoughts. After playing with a few combinations and consulting with Devyn, they chose our vintage florals plates, goblets in pink and green, and stainless flatware. What a sweet, charming design!

Bravo, Alea and Devyn! Wishing everything wonderful for you two!
Love this photo and that truck!

Vintage Colored Wine Goblets

News – Getting Back to Blogging!

Our blog and social media have gone dark this past month, which we didn’t intend to happen. Where have we been? We’ve been recovering from a total hip replacement. Instead of catching up on emails and correspondence, and completing small projects, we needed time to heal. This meant doing much of nothing but icing muscles, resting, and going to physical therapy. Thankfully, with the help of friends, family, and helper Keven, our business kept on track.

Now it’s time to get back into the groove of sharing! Today’s post is a continuation of Gab and Tucker’s vibrant wedding at the Carolina Grove but this time we are sharing our own photos. Because the clients wanted us to set the tables, we were able to see the final result and snap a few of the many cool place settings and details. Mixed vintage plates, water and wine goblets, flatware, and napkins – every table was vibrant and fun!

As we mixed the vintage plate collections for each table, it was the perfect opportunity to include some of our commemorative plates featuring places and people. How fun are these, especially the Morehead Planetarium plate?

Along with vintage colored water and wine goblets, Gab and Tucker wanted to offer a variety of colored coupes for champagne and tumblers for mixed drinks. Since dessert was a frozen dish, our vintage berry dishes fit the menu perfectly.

We hope our photos show how much we enjoyed providing these vintage treasures for Gab and Tucker’s wedding. Many folks will fondly remember this celebration, including us!

Vintage Colorful Wedding Tables

Southern Vintage Table Events- An Eclectic Vibrant, Vintage Wedding

Oh my goodness! Gab and Tucker’s wedding was a fabulous gala affair! These two professional planners had a colorful, personal vision for their celebration and the final vibrant result was absolutely magnificent!

We first met with Gab and Tucker in January to begin planning for our part in their wedding day. When they described their eclectic, radical ideas with us, we almost did a happy dance – mixing every possible element on the reception tables has always been a fantasy and now it was going to be realized.

As you can see, they chose pieces from every collection – vintage plates, water and wine goblets, flatware, napkins, dessert bowls, tumblers, and champagne coupes. Getting these pieces together took us over a week and we were very excited to set the tables.

The couple grew their flowers and prepared the many wine bottles. Note the shelves of vases below – guests were asked to chose their bouquet, take it to their table, and then take it home. Such a wonderful touch!

Gab and Tucker, it was an absolute pleasure working with you. Your wacky, crazy idea was stunning and we absolutely loved it! May every day be as loving and fun as your wedding day.

Scenes from SVT – Our Clients’ Vintage Creativeness

One thing is certain – vintage has many flavors, colors, and designs and our clients prove this time and time again. Today we are showcasing some of the most recent designs by our clients.

Recently, we consulted with photographer Rae Marshall about her upcoming photo shoot at the Matthews and we both loved the final result. The shoot, also designed by Sophie Johnson, will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community as well as include some of the many inclusive vendors. Add the florals and this will be a feast for the eyes!

Both Chelsea and Jessie love color, vintage, and mismatched china. The spring-colored vintage goblets accompanied by a mix of vintage plates will wow their friends next spring at Windy Hill Farm.

Purple, pink, and amber are adorning Lisa and David’s reception tables with vintage goblets and plates that coordinate with these colors. The vintage orange goblets they are holding are for their sweetheart table. We always enjoy seeing our wedding planning friends, and Stephanie of Beauty and the Budget introduced us and helped them make their selections.

Baby showers are fun to plan and attend! Since the parents are farmers, this “cabbage patch” theme promises to honor their family as well as provide many memorable, adorable moments.

Did you know that we also provide centerpieces and speciality items? Hayli and Karel wanted color! They used our vintage colored goblets and glass dessert serving pieces that perfectly expressed who they are. Cori and Nolan came to us for their centerpieces that will include dried floral arrangements we will create. Finally, our most recent visitor wanted vintage vases for her reception restaurant tables as well as dessert serving pieces for the 800 cookies on their wedding cookie table!

Whether it’s color, patterns, plates, centerpieces, or a combination of everything, we love providing our services and vintage wares to our clients. One thing is certain – it’s loads of fun, too!

Tea Wedding Ceremony

Southern Vintage Table Events – The Perfect Blend of Tea and Love

Tea for two and two in love – Aoi and Travis – were married earlier this year in Clemmons, NC at the historic Providence Manor House. Featured in their lovely wedding was a traditional tea ceremony. Two teas, representing both families, were poured into a small teacup from which both sipped. This gesture “symbolize(s) harmony, purity and respect” as the couple embrace and join their new families. We love this tradition! (Tree Trunk)

Historic venues, such as Providence Manor, are a beautiful complement to our vintage collections. As you see in these romantic photographs courtesy of Amanda Sutton Photography, the couple selected our vintage place settings, including floral plates, gold-plated flatware, and colored goblets, for their reception tables. The personally designed centerpieces featured our handcrafted dried bottled bouquets, candleholders, and vintage pink votive holder. The vintage dresser mirrors and brass frames with the table numbers completed their vintage-inspired design.

Best wishes to you two, Aoi and Travis! We truly enjoyed meeting you and your family and wish you everything wonderful in your new lives together.

Southern Vintage Table Events – An Idyllic Wedding at Cates Farm

The day was perfect – a gorgeous day at a working farm in rural Orange County, a host of family and friends, an amazing red barn, and two exceptional women in love. Jess and Dean, with the guidance of their planner, Beauty and the Budget, had every detail carefully planned.

We provided our lovely vintage pink and clear goblets, vintage china featuring gold rims, blue and white plates, silver-plate flatware, and bread baskets. The dessert table also featured brightly colored glass vintage cake plates and dessert plates.

Congratulations, Dean and Jess! We wish you the best of everything and loved being part of your celebration!

Vintage Reception Tables in Green

Southern Vintage Table Events – Delighted Participant in the First Wedded Joyride

Sponsored by Triangle Corporate Coach, Heart of NC Weddings, and Raleigh Pop Balloons, the first Wedded Joyride took off.  An event bus tour of 5 local venues – The Parlour at Manns Chapel, The Barn of Chapel Hill, Union Grove Farm, Carriage House of Chapel Hill, and Rock Quarry Farm – this free bus ride traveled to each venue and couples were introduced to a host of wedding professionals that included caterers, photographers, rental companies, florists, planners, DJs, and stationery designers.

We were very fortunate to be invited by the Carriage House of Chapel Hill along with a cadre of top vendors – Julia Renee Photography, Brewmasters Mobile, Victoria Park Florist, Funky Fresh Catering, Sweet Water Ices, The Perfect Beat, City BBQ, Sheralyns, Bridal Haven, Crumbl Cookies, and BBJ La Tavola,

Although we could not personally attend, Brenda, owner of the Carriage House of Chapel Hill, visited our studio and we created several designs for the honored visitors. Of course, we adore these looks and hope the visitors thought so as well!

Thanks, Brenda, for the invitation to be a part of your venue showcase! Looking forward to returning to your gorgeous space!

Southern Vintage Table Event – Setting Cheerful Thanksgiving Tables

Southern Vintage Table

Preparations for the Bass family reunion began Wednesday with Christine’s daughters preparing the Masonic Lodge in Rolesville for our annual Thanksgiving feast. This year our centerpiece design included simple greenery and vines from our yards, white pillar candles and gold votives, and painted pinecones. With colorful printed napkins, mixed and matched vintage white stoneware patterns, and our brilliant vintage goblets. the cheerful tables were ready for our 60+ family members and friends.

Our Thanksgiving family tradition began in the 1960s by our grandparents and parents and has continued every year since. We all look forward to this day when family means parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, daughters, sons, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors. With four generations represented in the Bass lineage, tomorrow’s coveted day certainly will be filled with fun, love, laughter, and delicious food. More photos will be added to this post when they come in – we’ll keep you posted via our Facebook page!

Our mantra for the upcoming week, from 50 Inspiration Quotes, is:
Don’t call it a dream; call it a plan.
