Looking back on 2018 through these beautiful photographs gives us much to be grateful for – our creative clients, talented photographers, amazing venues, and fantastic vendors. We loved meeting and collaborating with you all and hope the new year brings us together again!

Vintage Feature – It’s Movie Time!

Today’s post is more than just words – it’s a full length one-minute movie! We gathered some, and we mean only some, of our favorite photos and seamed them together into a video that we hope captures the depth of our vintage table setting collection.

Southern Vintage Table Event – Winter-Themed Styled Shoot

Collaborating with vendors to create gorgeousness is one of our favorite parts of working in the event and wedding industry. Most of the time we are focused on bringing our client’s dream event to fruition, but when we work together on a styled shoot, creativity is wide open. From inception to finality, the cadre of professionals bring their skills and products to the themed shoot. Sometimes the theme may be like a fairy tale such as a wedding in the style of The Game of Thrones, or it may be a more authentic setting like a fall-themed wedding and reception. Both styles are designed to showcase wares and talents of the professional team and very rewarding to all.

For this photo shoot, winter’s rich hues amid elegance was the theme. Melrose Knitting Mill provided the backdrop for a bridal portrait styled shoot as well as a coordinating tablescape. The series of photos featured here, also taken by Tugba, perfectly fit the look of a sophisticated winter season tablescape. Twig and Tendril along with Fallon Flowers created beautiful florals to accompany our vintage place settings.

Southern Vintage Table Event – Courtney & Lee’s Romantic Mountain Wedding

If you dig vibrant jewels and gold (and who doesn’t, right?), you are going to love these photos from Courtney and Lee’s intimate mountain wedding provided by Amaris Photography. Their design, using our vintage gold rimmed plates, goblets, silverware, and teacups created this magical celebration of their love for one another!

Courtney and Lee, we really enjoyed meeting you and helping with your wedding. Best wishes for years of love and happiness! Also, thanks for sharing these dreamy photos from Amaris Photography!

Vintage Feature – New Vintage Patterns from Europe and the US

We are always on the hunt for new vintage patterns to add to our collections and we’d like to introduce you to some of our newcomers! Most of them we found at local thrift stores but we also had a few gifted to us. How sweet is that? These new patterns hail from England, Austria, France, Bavaria, and the US.

The patterns above are rich with colors and we love each one of them. From the top left, the makers are Salem China from USA, Royal Bayreuth from Bavaria, Mason’s from England, and Trischenreuth, also from Bavaria.

Now, who doesn’t love vintage patterns with delicate florals? These four beauties are from several different countries. Starting at the top left, we have Knowles China from the US, Union Ceramique from France, Haviland from France, and Karlsbad from Austria.

These colorful four patterns look so nice together! The two on the right are from England, Johnson Brothers and Royal Dalton. The two on the left are from potteries in the US, Vernon Kilns and Knowles China, both of which are no longer in business.

This last set of four are a bit atypical of china patterns with their hues of brown. We love how they look together – add a brown and amber goblet to the table, and you have a terrific look! All of these ironstone patterns are from England – the top two are Mason’s, the bottom left is Johnson Brothers, and the bottom right is Staffordshire.

Mixing and matching china patterns presents a beautiful, interesting table for your guests whether it’s a wedding reception, bridal shower, a holiday meal, or a dinner party. Give us a call or send an email through our Contact page. We’d love to hear from you!

Southern Vintage Table Event – Jess & Andrew’s Mountainside Wedding

What’s the secret recipe for a wedding celebration beyond imagination? Start with a magnificent mountain backdrop near a quaint inn, generously add gorgeous florals and greenery, and set lovely vintage china and goblets for each guest. Then gather your twenty dearest friends to be a part o,f the bridal party, and, of course, invite 300 family and guests to celebrate with you.! Finally, add a talented photographer, aka Katy Cook Photography, to capture all of this perfection!

The most important ingredient for the perfect wedding is the betrothed couple and Jessica and Andrew couldn’t have been more perfectly matched. Their joy and happiness spill out everywhere and we feel so fortunate to share these with you!

We had a difficult time only selecting a few from this much anticipated wedding day. But, you’re in luck because Katy Cook published a sneak peek of the wedding on her blog and you’re going to be mesmerized by her post!

Southern Vintage Table Event – A Magical Wedding at Snipes Farm

Yay! We are so pleased to share photos of Lindsey and Brad’s vintage reception tables, courtesy of Sean True Photography. One word that describes these gorgeous, colorful photos – MAGICAL! The glorious floral centerpieces, vintage colored goblets, the perfectly set tables, and twinkling lights created an wondrous backdrop for the newly wed couple and their guests as they celebrated this beautiful day.

Southern Vintage Table Event – Handpicked Showcase of Makers & Experts at The Parlour at Mann’s Chapel

How delightful and humbling to be invited to the “handpicked showcase of makers and experts” at The Parlour at Mann’s Chapel, a beautifully restored historic chapel! This charming venue is absolutely perfect for intimate gatherings and we love being a part of any affair held here.

The evening was great fun for both vendors and guests! Tasty bites from a cadre of talented caterers and food vendors – Columbian chocolate treats, homemade ice cream, champagne, mac & cheese, cake, coffee & donuts, cookies, cider, petite salads, and speciality drinks – were enjoyed by everyone. The beautiful tablescapes, handmade paper products, glorious florals, and samples of guest favors as well as vendor services such as hair, makeup, photography, handwriting, and planning were part of this showcase affair.

Our post today includes photos of our table, taken by the talented Rebecca Ames, which was all decked out with the magnificent locally farmed flowers from Fernrock Farm.

Sending out kudos and thanks to hosts Aimee and Yvette, owners of the The Parlour at Mann’s Chapel, for inviting us to this gala event, Fernrock Farm for the gorgeous fresh flowers, Priscilla for her sparkling spirit and support, and Rebecca Ames for her lovely photos! Southern Vintage Table Event – Beautiful Vintage Blue

As this week’s mailbox confirmed, one of our most popular rentals at Southern Vintage Table is our vintage blue goblets . Two of our clients shared photos from their blue-themed weddings; one was held indoors and the other was an outdoor celebration with the color blue taking center stage.

The first set of photos are from a March wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill, shared by F8 Photo Studios. We love how our vintage blue glassware “pops” on Rochelle and Chris’ reception tables, designed by Kast Events & Company. And that photo from above of the single table? Wow.

Our second blue wedding was held in Whitsett at the Timberlake Earth Sanctuary, a unique outdoor venue “dedicated to honoring and protecting Mother Earth and all beings.” Emma and Jonathan designed their place settings with our classic vintage blue & white china, blue goblets, and stainless flatware. As you can see from Photography by Kelsey Rae‘s photos, this wedding seemed right at home with its serene surroundings.
