The Green Wedding Guild did it again and this year they joined forces with ElopeNC. We are talking about the annual design challenge in which planners and their team of expert vendors create an original wedding ceremony and reception. This year the vendor teams met at the lovely historic Old Lystra Inn in Chapel Hill. Each had a different take on an elopement wedding and we are excited to share a series of posts that will highlight their work.

In a previous post, “A Whimsical Tea Party,” Emily and Eva of Emily Katherine Events created a colorful, eclectic Bridgerton-inspired tea party elopement wedding and reception. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

Today’s post is the work of Hayley and Hannah of An Event to Remember. The color green, music, and vintage were blended to craft their tranquil, harmonic, and charming look. These photos of Rachel Abi beautifully capture their theme.

Starting with the table settings on both the sweetheart and guest table, our contributions included the vintage crocheted overlay, green goblets, green plates, galvanized floral containers, and ukulele. We love now our vintage basket is stacked as a petite cake table with that delicious cake perched on our vintage aluminum cake stand. To set off the seating chart, our vintage train case and floral-filled green thermos added an adorable touch.

With the groom being a musician, musical “notes” were sprinkled throughout. Notice the vintage 45s under the table florals and placed on the vintage green train case. Designed by Hannah and Hayley, the table seating chart was a creative musical twist and threaded among the table florals are strips of music sheets. Finally, we love how our ukulele has a prominent place on the guest table.
