Recently we received photos from several events and, as we began to process them, we noticed a striking similarity. They all featured our vintage blue goblets. Interesting, right?
Other than being the team color of two local universities, are there other reasons why blue is chosen by many couples? We decided to look into the psychology of color to see if there may be a hidden meaning.

Bourn Creative, a design firm that uses color to convey messages and meaning, describes blue as this:
“Blue represents both the sky and the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.”
Ah-hah! Faith, trust, stability, sincerity – ingredients for a successful, happy wedding and marriage. Maybe it’s not just a pretty color; perhaps it’s the positive energy it brings for the couple’s new life ahead.
